From holiday fiascos to winterland wonders, we invite both new and seasoned storytellers to share a personal true story that speaks to the theme. Have a story idea? Universal Stories of Friendship and Understanding: An interactive storytelling & puppetry series in conjunction with Mission Inn Foundation's Toward Peace project. On the anniversary of UN adoption of the International Declaration of Human Rights in 1948 and the first night of Hanukkah, join storyteller Karen Rae Kraut & puppeteer Nicole Cloeren of Puppets a la Carte for "King Solomon and the Hoopoe Bird", an Israeli folk story. Wanting to impress the Queen of Sheba King Solomon promises to build her a palace of bird beaks.  The wise hoopoe bird saves the lives of all the birds by posing 3 riddles for the King.
