In it’s 43rd year, UCR Writers Week is a literary staple for readers and writers in California. Both established authors and new and upcoming voices will be reading between February 10th and 14th, with working covering a variety of genres and forms including memoir, poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and essay. Hear from UCR students in the creative writing MFA program, attend a talk on free speech by Jonathan Friedman, and hear work by Hillary Gravendyk Poetry Prize winner Elizabeth Cantwell and Inlandia executive director, Cati Porter.

Elizabeth Cantwell is the author of Nights I Let The Tiger Get You, Premonitions, and All the Emergency-Type Structures, winner of Inlandia Institute’s 2018 Hillary Gravendyk Regional Prize.
Cati Porter is the author of eight books and chapbooks, most recently The Body at a Loss. She is founder and editor of Poemeleon: A Journal of Poetry and executive director of Inlandia Institute, a literary nonprofit organization.
