We’ve all been there: read a children’s book and thought, I could have written that! Not so fast! Is it really that easy? At 6:30 PM on Thursday, September 1, ask a panel of children’s book authors Vilayvanh Bender, José Chávez, James Luna, Isabel Quintero, and James Woods what it really takes to write and publish a book for young people. Inlandia at Arts Walk, Riverside Main Library, downtown.

Learn the whys and wherefores of publishing for kids, and hear firsthand the joys— and challenges— of the writing process. Listen to a selection of published work that will inspire you to get started. Already started? Then come out and say hi! The Inlandia community of writers is a great way to get new ideas and help support your creative flow.

Booksellers will be on hand to meet with and sell their wares! Free parking is available in back.
