Reluctant activists: Throughout Riverside's history, women have been at the forefront of community activism, but few have adopted that label. Instead, they were women simply doing what they knew was right. They were grassroots preservationists, speaking out and speaking up. They were building peace. Protecting our environment. Fighting erasure, fighting for the right to love who they love, fighting for the health of children, for their right to an education. Wherever there is change you will find women, often working behind the scenes, below the surface. Are you or are you not an activist? Are you sure? If you would like to be, you are. Join us.
