Inlandia at Riverside Main Library for Artswalk!
Have you ever wondered about the First Peoples who lived in the place known as Riverside? Are you curious about why land acknowledgments matter so much? Join Dr. Frances Borella, professor of anthropology at Mt. San Antonio College, along with Cassandra Celeste Contreras (Nahua), Julián Angel Ibañez Mandujano (Yoeme/Yaqui), and Jamie Rocha (Tribal Council member for the Gabrielino-Shoshone Nation of Southern California) for a conversation about the original and current caretakers of our region—and the unique relationship that exists between Indigenous Peoples and their traditional homelands.
The presentation starts at 6:30 PM, but doors open at 6:00. Don’t miss it!
Riverside Main Library Community Room is located at 3900 Mission Inn Avenue, Riverside, CA 92501. Free parking is available from the University Avenue entrance.
