The theme this year is “A World Where Deaf People Can Sign Anywhere!” with local guests Maisha Franklin of the Center on Deafness Inland Empire (CODIE) Franklin and Steve Longacre, Deaf Magician and retired educator. Enjoy food services provided by Deaf-owned businesses, live entertainment, vendor booths, bounce houses, and several opportunities to learn about Deaf culture!

We will be writing elegy and celebration of life pieces as well as learning performance skills. James Coats is a poet, performer, and educator born in Los Angeles and raised in the Inland Empire. You can take a poetry workshop with him through his organization Lift Our Voices Education, which hosts an award-winning workshop monthly called Be the Change.
