2:00 pm: Allison Adelle Hedge Coke at Back to the Grind

November 27, 2022

Home for the holiday? Inlandia is pleased to announce a poetry event that will warm your post-Thanksgiving Sunday afternoon. Join us at Back to the Grind for a special reading by National Book Award Finalist Allison Adelle Hedge Coke. Bring a friend and get cozy with a cup of something delicious. Allison will be reading from her recent poetry collection, Look at This Blue. You’ll be glad you came.

Books will be available for sale and signing.

“Both ode and elegy for our natural and man-made environments, Allison Hedge Coke’s Look at This Blue speaks of California’s inevitable loss, its ‘temporal melt,’ ‘its ‘death-wish façade.’ Hedge Coke calligraphies this tragedy and mythos with such poignancy that you will be riveted until the collection’s very last line. Look at This Blue is not only timely; it is necessary.” — Lynne Thompson, Los Angeles Poet Laureate
