6:30 pm: NEW The Flame: Life's Journeys

July 20, 2022

Summer has arrived! Time for family vacations, long road trips, beach days, and new adventures. For those who have recently graduated, you are beginning a new chapter in life, maybe you are reflecting on the journey that led you to this moment of transition. Some of us are homebodies and prefer the “staycation.” We read, write, garden, watch Netflix. Whether you experience wanderlust or are an aspiring hobbit, we all experience change brought about by cycles of beginnings and endings. These are the stories of what makes us who we are. The Flame would love for you to share the story of your life's journey with us this July.

The Flame is a thee-part workshop and live storytelling event. We work together as a group to assist each other in enhancing our storytelling skills, which culminates in a live performance. This July, The Flame returns in person! All three workshops plus the final event will be at Riverside Studios. Spaces are limited, so please reach out as soon as possible to sign up to participate. All participants must be available for all four dates and times.

To submit for participation, please send an email to Stevie Taken (stevietaken@gmail.com) with a short (1-2 paragraphs) summary of the story you would like to share.

All stories must be true (of course, we all take some creative licensing. Don't worry, we’re not following up with an investigation or fact checking. We’re storytellers, not journalists)! Stories must in the first person, and have happened to you!
