11:00 am: 2019 ALTERNATIVE GIFT FAIR11:00 am: 2019 ALTERNATIVE GIFT FAIR – From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019 we will do a little holiday shopping for a good cause at First United Methodist Church, 4845 Brockton Ave., in Riverside.

This is an annual tradition in Riverside. Booths sell crafts, jewelry, cards, baskets, books and delicious food and drinks.
Organizations represented include 10,000 Villages, Heifer International, the United Methodist Women, Glocally Connected, Temple Beth El, The Brady campaign, and more. It is surrounded by live music, soup and family fun. The idea is to raise money for good causes, while getting the holiday shopping done.

2:30 pm: POETS AND WRITERS' INLAND EMPIRE LITERARY ROUNDTABLE MEETING2:30 pm: POETS AND WRITERS' INLAND EMPIRE LITERARY ROUNDTABLE MEETING – Please join us for the next Poets & Writers' Inland Empire Literary Roundtable Meeting co-hosted by the Inlandia Institute (http://inlandiainstitute.org/) at the Garcia Center for the Arts (http://www.sbvca.org/garcia-center/): Thursday, December 12, 2019 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Meet people, find out what's going on, share ideas, and learn about Poets & Writers' resources for writers, including mini-grants for readings and workshops. Roundtable Meetings are open to anyone involved with or interested in the literary arts--writers, presenters, presses, editors, librarians, and other arts and culture workers. The first half of the meeting will include an introduction to P&W resources, followed by special guest, Inlandia Literary Laureate Rachelle Cruz (https://www.rachellecruz.com/), who will talk about her work and answer questions from the group. The second half of the meeting is devoted to discussion and announcements. There will be light refreshments and complimentary copies of Poets & Writers Magazine. 6:00 pm: THE EQUILUX: OPEN MICS FOURTH FRIDAY AT THE CORONA PUBLIC LIBRARY6:00 pm: THE EQUILUX: OPEN MICS FOURTH FRIDAY AT THE CORONA PUBLIC LIBRARY – Join the Corona Public Library for a night of open mics happening the fourth Friday of every month! Acoustic, spoken word, acapella, poetry, freestyle, performance art and comedy are accepted. Performances may be on any subject and in any style or genre but must be appropriate for a broad audience. Feel free to bring art pieces for display. Art supplies will be provided for the duration of the event. Light refreshments will be provided as well.
