Ms. Nash is a longtime area environmental activist. She has lived in Riverside County since 1980 and is now in Idyllwild. Ms. Nash has a unique perspective on the area’s environmental history and fights. Not only is she an outdoor person and advocate, but she is a lawyer. As an attorney, she has been involved in many of the key environmental lawsuits and pivotal rulings about environmental issues across the region.
Nash participates in Women in Black, Occupy Idyllwild, and “Move to Amend” (corporate personhood) as a way of furthering awareness about global warming.
Ms. Nash works to defend the San Jacinto Wildlife area from threats to its environment, She has been engaged in suits against the US Department of Fish for failure to comply with CEQA and also the Wildlife Conservation Board over similar issues. She is currently fighting to protect the Wildlife Area from a development nearby called the Villages at Lakeview. She has served with the area Sierra Club and Audubon Society.
