When the temperature rises, cool down by dreaming up blood-curdling scary stories for the California Riverside Ballet’s annual event, Ghost Walk Riverside! This year marks the 25th Anniversary of this Riverside tradition. Be a part of it by writing spooky, spine-tingling, and scaretastic stories!
Ghost Walk is an annual fundraiser for the California Riverside Ballet that features original stories by local authors. This year, we are offering two workshops: one for teens writers, to be held June 16 from 3 – 6 pm at Martin Luther King High School, and one for all ages to be held June 25 from 2 – 5 pm at the Casa Blanca Library.
Be a part of the story! Under the guidance of an experienced author, workshop participants will write stories to be submitted for this year’s annual Ghost Walk. Each workshop participant will receive one ticket to Ghost Walk, and if any stories are selected, one additional ticket for each accepted story, per person.
These three-hour sessions will be just enough to inspire your latent Freddy Krueger, Jason or Casper the Friendly Ghost. Attend one or both!
For teens: Martin Luther King High School is located at 9301 Wood Rd, Riverside, CA 92508 For all ages: Casa Blanca Library is located at 2985 Madison St, Riverside, CA 92504.
Registration is encouraged as seating may be limited. To register, email cati.porter@InlandiaInstitute.org; please reference Ghost Walk in the subject line. For more information about the workshop, please call Cati Porter at 951 790 2458.

About Ghost Walk Riverside 2016
In 1991, Riverside resident and arts lover, Kathie Allavie brought the idea of Ghost Walk home to Riverside after a visit to the east coast where she experienced a similar event. The first Ghost Walk was a single tour, story-telling walk in downtown Riverside. Today, five thrilling tours bring adventure and art together with collaboration from area dancers, musicians, writers, actors, and artists of all forms. CRB will eternally be grateful for Kathie’s visionary spirit and dedication to the arts.
The Ghost Walk Riverside 25th Anniversary Celebration will include many features we have grown to love about the event as well as new attractions and events to celebrate its future. Back in 2016 are the five thrilling tours, the Thriller dance presentation, kids’ carnival, and live entertainment on our festival stage. New this year is a Kids’ Art Contest, Fan Art Contest, and the Night Gallery Special Event.
