    Inlandia at Alternative Gift Fair!

    December 3, 2023

Riverside's Alternative Gift Fair features vendors selling hand made crafts, with proceeds supporting non profit causes. Some of our traditional vendors are Heifer International, United Methodist handcrafts, 10,000 Villages, Glocally Connected, handmade paper flowers, Riverside Food Coop food and jams, books and cards from the Inland Communities Fellowship of Reconciliation and Soroptimist International baskets. We are adding The Guatemala Project this year, which provides clean running water to people who need it. Also new this year, ceramic bowls from Rebecca Waring-Crane, a project that relates to alleviating childhood hunger. Homemade soup, music and community will complete the fair. This is a Riverside holiday tradition! First United Methodist Church is the host, and there is plenty of free parking.

Inlandia to launch “Breaking Pattern” by Tisha Marie Reichle-Aguilera

Inlandia Institute is excited to announce the release of Breaking Pattern by Tisha Marie Reichle-Aguilera, published under the Inlandia Books imprint. A book launch will take place on Thursday, December 7, beginning at 6:30 PM in Riverside Main Library’s Community Room. Please join us for a celebration of young adult fiction, cowgirl life, and the high stakes world of junior rodeo – with special guests Juanita E. Mantz, Nikia Chaney, Melissa Chadburn, and book cover artist, Rosy Cortez. A discussion about family and cultural community, grounding one’s work in place, and writing strategies from marginalized voices is planned, along with selected readings from Breaking Pattern.
