    J. D. Mathes will lead a conversation on the lives and experiences of military veterans, talk about interviewing veterans and justice-involved veterans, and read excerpts from essays to go with writing prompts so attendees can begin working on their own stories to write.

    Join us IN PERSON at Riverside Main Library on Saturday, November 23, to celebrate the rich and varied contributions of Inlandia’s workshop writers as we launch the newest edition of the 2023 Writing from Inlandia anthology. 

    Contributors to “Inlandia: A Literary Journey” will also share the art and writing they’ve submitted through our online publication. The program runs from 1:00-3:00 PM; doors open at 12:30. 

    The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

    Writers who participated in an Inlandia Creative Writing Workshop and submitted work for publication in the “2023 Writing from Inlandia” anthology will also be on hand to share their work on Zoom.
