On April 14, join UCR Arts and Inlandia Institute at the Barbara and Art Culver Center of the Arts and discover Susan Straight’s Mecca. In Michael Connelly’s words, Mecca “a masterpiece.” Viet Thanh Nguyen calls it “a heartbreaker from beginning to end.” Joining her in conversation will be her longtime collaborator and friend, acclaimed photographer and senior curator at the California Museum of Photography, Douglas McCulloh (Facing Fire; In the Sunshine of Neglect; The Great Picture).
