Participating organizations include City of Riverside, Museum of Riverside, Fox Performing Arts Center, Spanish Town Heritage Foundation, Center for Social Justice and Civil Liberties, Empower You Edutainment, and Inlandia Institute.

In Michael Connelly’s words, Mecca “a masterpiece.” Viet Thanh Nguyen calls it “a heartbreaker from beginning to end.” Joining her in conversation will be her longtime collaborator and friend, acclaimed photographer and senior curator at the California Museum of Photography, Douglas McCulloh (Facing Fire; In the Sunshine of Neglect; The Great Picture).
