April 8, 2018Are you a member, donor, or supporter of Inlandia? On April 8, join Inlandia for the free Members and Donors Appreciation at the Ssgt. Salvador J. Lara Casa Blanca Library, 2985 Madison St., Riverside. The theme is celebrating diversity and we will do so by showcasing the varied cultures that call this place home. Catered by Taste of Afghanistan, we will also be featuring donated food and items from a variety of local business including Packinghouse Brewery, Pepitos, Monark Bistro, Chili’s, Cellar Door Books, Mardon Jewelers, Riverside Art Museum, Mission Inn Museum, Costco, Ralphs, and a number of local authors including Douglas McCulloh, Harkeerat Dhilon, Nan Friedley, and Deenaz Coachbuilder, who is donating an original painting to be presented during the silent auction. April 11, 2018Inlandia’s Voices Against Violence workshops begin! Thanks to a grant from California Humanities, the workshops are free and open to the public. Allyson Jeffredo’s “Recipes for Healing” sessions are at 9:30 a.m. April 4 and 11 at Cal State San Bernardino and at 10 a.m. April 18 and 25 at San Bernardino Valley College. Micah Tasaka’s “Movement Medicine: A Healing Circle” is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. April 7 at the Garcia Center for the Arts in San Bernardino and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on April 14 at the Pain Sugar Gallery in Riverside. Lydia Theon Ware’s “Scribbles & Scrawls” will take place April 27 and May 4 at the San Bernardino Adult Day Health – Catelaya, 1102 South Arrowhead Ave., San Bernardino. Lisa Henry’s “Voices Against Violence Art & Writing” workshop is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. April 19 at Riverside Community College.
