Stephanie Barbé Hammer is a 7-time Pushcart Prize nominee in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Originally from Manhattan, Stephanie moved to Southern California in 1986 and except for a 7-year break in the Pacific Northwest, has lived here ever since. She’s an award-winning teacher and professor emerita of Comparative Literature at UC Riverside, and she teaches writing at Hugo House, the Santa Barbara Writer’s Conference, and the Inlandia Institute. She brought out two books recently: the novella Journey to Merveilleux City, and the chapbook City Slicker.
